Lake of Bays Rousse

Brewery: Lake of Bays Brewing, Baysville, ON
Style: Amber Ale
ABV: 5%
Availability: Year-round; bottles at the LCBO, Beer Store, and brewery store

Chestnut amber with a small off-white head. Aroma is dominated by malt - nuts, toasted grain, caramel, vanilla - with secondary notes of light and slightly soapy hops. Flavour starts quite sweet with a combination of caramel and vanilla, with hints of chocolate and cherry cordial. Mellow in the middle before some woody, peppery and slightly resinous hops come through in the finish.
